Imagine sailing the azure oceans aboard a luxurious cruise ship; opulent accommodation, award-winning gourmet dining and handpicked destinations straight off a postcard.
Well that’s what Celebrity Cruises offers, and their only concern is ensuring you have the most unforgettable experience ever.
We were tasked with bringing this concept to life with two back-to-back events, one for trade partners and another for elite guests and VIPs within the London area, rewarding them for their loyal custom, getting their vital feedback and giving them the opportunity to introduce friends to the brand they love.
The aim was to immerse people in the world of Celebrity Cruises and give them a true taste of what it’s like on board one of the luxury liners, but right here on dry land. And we certainly succeeded!
First up we needed a unique and exclusive venue – in keeping with the brands “Modern Luxury”proposition . We needed an intimate, high end location which reflected the style of a Celebrity Cruises holiday. Say hello to White Space, just off London’s Leicester Square.
The venue worked perfectly, allowing us to showcase Celebrity Cruises’ logo and colour scheme. The external branding worked a treat and made the venue even easier to find for our guests.
On the first night we opened the doors to 63 carefully chosen trade partners from leading travel agencies such as Kuoni and Travel Councellers. Invited to find out all about Celebrity Cruises destinations and service improvements, guests were welcomed with the obligatory glass of bubbly before enjoying a sumptuous dinner.
Entertainment was provided by the gorgeous Escala, the electronic string quartet who rose to fame during Britain’s Got Talent. The ladies stunned guests with their musical talents before holding a meet and greet for elite VIPs.
The next afternoon we were back at the venue, this time welcoming 30 of Celebrity Cruises’ special customers – many of whom have been cruising with the company for years – who each arrived with guests they wanted to introduce to the brand.
After a short presentation from Celebrity Cruises, guests tucked into lavish canapés, champers and cream teas. With President and CEO Michael Bayley in attendance, this gave Celebrity’s most important clients the chance to give feedback to the man that matters most.
Of course, no event would be complete without goodie bags and we made sure ours were filled to the brim with treats including Escala CDs, English Teas and a coffee table book.
Both events were a huge success; showcasing the power of targeted, high-quality events for engaging your audience. It’s going to be an exciting year for Celebrity Cruises with some fantastic activations planned, so watch this space!
