We’ve just got back from a very manic but fun few days at Eurogamer Expo in London’s Earls Court where we unveiled a series of exclusive experiences from EA Games™ including the first ever play of Battlefield 4™ on Xbox One in Europe, and the first opportunity in the UK to get hands-on with the highly anticipated first person shooter, Titanfall™.

The hugely popular consumer show welcomed 70,000 excited visitors to Earls Court over four live days and fans were eager to try out all of the latest games and next generation consoles before their release in November.

With an incredible line up of games soon to be released, EA™ had its largest ever presence at the show with a total of 128 gaming stations, designed and staffed by the Circle team.   With so many new games to showcase, and a core gaming audience who know their stuff, it was important to have an authentic and talented pool of staff to support the show.  All 65 members of staff  who worked the show, received briefings direct from EA and studio personnel, which included their opportunity to get hands on before anyone else.

From the all-out vehicle warfare of Conquest mode to the frantic warfare found in the all-new Obliteration mode (available to play for the first time in the UK), we offered visitors the chance to play the most diverse Battlefield 4™ experience yet.  With 64 gaming stations, you could choose to play one or both modes of play.  The excitement was palpable, as fans of the game queued for up to two hours for their chance to play the game before its UK launch on current gen on November 1st and on Xbox One on November 21st.

It came as no surprise that Titanfall™ lived up to its reputation as one of the most anticipated game releases for 2014. With visitors to the show queuing for over three hours for their chance to receive an eight minute briefing video and to trial the game first hand on one of 24 gaming stations.  Respawn studio staff were also on hand to answer questions about the game and its development.

Elsewhere on the show floor EA SPORTS™ FIFA 14 was as popular as ever.  Celebrating its release on current gen console, fans were offered the opportunity to become the star of the game in our EA SPORTS photo studio.  Visitors posed as the latest football talent and were then superimposed into the FIFA 14 cover shot and received an instant, bespoke cover sleeve for their game.

Need for Speed the Rivals™ and SIMS™ 4 rounded out EA’s presence at the show.

We were back at the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth last week with EA SPORTS™, giving visitors, players and VIPs the chance to show off their virtual golfing skills with the latest Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® game.

The six day event saw our EA SPORTS™ Dugout host tournaments for the general public on Xbox 360 using a massive 60 inch plasma screen.

The bespoke trailer, designed by Circle Agency, has had a busy summer touring football stadiums, sports events, town centres and universities across the UK giving gaming and football fans a chance to get to grips with FIFA 13. But a quick turnaround at Circle’s HQ saw us seamlessly rebrand it for Tiger Woods PGA TOUR® 14 ahead of the PGA tournament.

It’s a great example of how investment into the right touring vehicle can show ROI time and again and the Dugout will be back out on the road soon promoting the next EA SPORTS™ titles.

Our experiential brand ambassadors were also on hand in the player, VIP and caddy’s lounges where we set up Xbox 360 gaming stations. After all, even the pros like a practice every now and then!

Our EA Xmas Experience Tour is celebrating its tenth anniversary, visiting four centres across the UK to drive brand awareness, sales and pre-orders during the crucial Christmas trading period.

Currently in situ at Westfield Stratford, Manchester Arndale, Meadowhall in Sheffield and Westfield Merryhill we’re giving you the chance to play the latest games from EA; Need for Speed™ Most Wanted, Medal of Honor™ Warfighter, EA SPORTS FIFA 13, and Deadspace 3 (providing a chance to trial the game ahead of its official release date on 8th February 2013).

We’re really excited about this year and have introduced some great new competitions and awesome prizes. This year’s experiential activation once again focuses on delivering hands on trial of EA’s latest games.  EA Sports FIFA 13 will take centre stage, with daily tournaments and the chance to win a private party on board the EA SPORTS™ Dugout for ten people. A Need for Speed™ Most Wanted competition will also be run to win an iPad 2.

Christmas sales will be immediately rewarded with a gift with purchase offer, a bespoke EA gift wrap pack which includes gift pack, ribbon, a gift card and while stocks last, a special gift relating to the game purchased.

We have devised, produced and implemented every aspect of this brand experience tour since 2003. It’s grown significantly over the past ten years creating true legacy for the EA brand and evolving with the introduction of new technology and social media channels.

So what are you waiting for? Come on down and help the team make this the best year yet!

The Dugout has had a very busy couple of months – not only touring football grounds and universities with EA SPORTS™ FIFA 13 – but also welcoming onboard its fair share of famous faces as the professional’s battle it out in EA’s Pro Footballer Player Tournaments.
